Cliffs of Moher
Martello executed the spatial design, fabrication, fit out, content development, audiovisual, multimedia, and virtual reality installations for a 900 sqm exhibition in the new visitor centre at Ireland’s most visited scenic location.
Martello produced a detailed “virtual” layout in 3D for the vast exhibition space in the Cliffs of Moher. These visualisations helped us to structure the content of the space to work within the huge underground dome, which had been designed by architects and had yet to be constructed.
'Atlantic Edge' is an interactive multimedia exhibition themed on the topics of Ocean, Rock, Nature and Man. The Clare Journey audio-visual takes visitors on an aerial tour of natural wonders of the region. The Cliffs is home to Ireland’s largest seabird colony and the ‘Ledge’ allows visitors to soar with a gannet and swoop to the seabed to view an astonishing diversity of life that surround the Cliffs.
The visitor centre and the exhibition have both independently already received recognition and major awards from various international design bodies.
